Nappanee Hosts Mini Maker Faire
Nappanee Mini Maker Faire will be held on Saturday, June 17 from 10 am – 3 pm. Come and join us under the new downtown pavilion (on the corner of Clark and Market St.)
What exactly is a Maker Faire? Part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new, Maker Faire is an all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors. All of these “makers” come to Maker Faire to show what they have made and to share what they have learned. Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters to homesteaders to scientists to garage tinkerers. They are of all ages and backgrounds. The aim of Maker Faire is to entertain, inform, connect and grow this community.

The Nappanee Mini Maker Faire will be modeled after the original Maker Faire but will be a smaller, community-focused event, while still celebrating do-it-yourself creativity and tinkering.
Maker Faire originated in 2006 in the San Francisco Bay Area as a project of the editors of Make: magazine. It has since grown into a significant worldwide network of both flagship and independently-produced events.
